Awestruck

The sun glanced off your brow,

The brown of your eyes looking deep into mine.

Searching my naked soul as you smile,

Strangers we were in another time.

Winter dawn on Daffodills,

Parrots kiss on the windowsill.

Your face mirroring the golden sky,

As we lay awake in the mornings sigh.

Winter sun

Pour some wine upon the sun,

Let it smile foolishly.

Watch as it walks sleepily,

Hugging everyone.

Let it sing loudly - I am the winter sun !
